This video shows the basic preparations for going diving and how to measure abundance of algae (or other marine organisms) using a transect and a quadrat underwater. The video was prepared by Craig Aumack and Kyle Glenn as their outreach project for the 2009 NSF-PASI Advanced Tropical Phycology course that took place at STRI’s Bocas del Toro Research Station from August 14th to September 4th, 2009.
